September 20-24 onboard with Joe & Athena Mitchell from Bronx, New York. Joe and Athena are one of our favorite couples, they are awesome customers and they fish with us yearly. This trip the Mitchell starts out fishing Lake Okeechobee for two days with Capt. Mark Shepard. They boated lots of fish 2lb-5lbs. Lake Okeechobee is renowned for sheer numbers of bass it contains per acre and produces more Florida trophy bass over 8 pounds than any lake in Florida and the United States. Lake Okeechobee Fishing is going to be hot this season, so make your reservation early.

The Mitchell saved the best for last fishing with Capt. Tony Masiello, first day Everglades which has been slow due to weather and lots or rain. The Mitchell had a great day of fishing in Florida Everglades, they caught so many fish we lost count.

Day 2 Peacock bass fishing in Miami. The exotic Peacock bass are one of the toughest freshwater species in the world. The peacocks can only survive in warm climate and exist only in Sunny South Florida. These fish are very aggressive and hard fighting a 4lb Peacocks give you a fight like a 9lb bass, great sport fishing. Joe caught his biggest peacock; the fish gave him an exciting fight, catching a 5lb at the end the day on livebait. I always enjoy fishing with Joe and Athena because I’m from New York and we have so much to talk about during the day. Great job guys and I hope to see you in a few weeks Joe.

Till next time tight lines and good fishing….
