Captain Mark Shepard with an October Lake Okeechobee Guide report.
The middle of October and weather is great this time of year. I had afternoon trip with Nick and Nick Belfione that started at about 3:00 pm.
The Belfione from New Jersey. The weather conditions were great with some overcast and lite rain, that’s what I call perfect fishing day .It was agreat trip with over 40 bass and great guys to fish with, caught everything on shiners and soft plastics.
The next couples day, I had repeat customers the Howard’s are good fishermen and from Ohio. Scott usely goes all artificial bait, but with a cold front we used some livebait. The livebait paid off with the first cast the fish was on, we had allot of fast action for blue bird sky’s with northeastern wind. Used livebait in the morning and end the day with soft plastics. Next day fish the morning livebait over 30 largemouth’s, in the first hour and caught over 20 on artificial lures. It’s always great to fish with these guys, great trip.
Till next time tight lines and good fishing….
