Hi I’m Captain Mark Shepard from Clewiston, Florida and it’s great to be back home on Lake Okeechobee. Onboard with Steve, Donna Milam and Sandy Meredith all from Louisville, Kentucky. The fishing on the lake has been great, especially now with cooler temperatures rolling in. We started out fishing the edges of the grass with topwaters baits when the morning light is low or pitch worms & jig into the vegetation when the sun is shining. The first cast Steve catches a 3lb Okeechobee bass, and before I could hand the other rods to Donna & Sandy.
The lady’s always out shine the guys, she caught the next one a 5lb Largemouth bass. The fishing was on & great for half day excursion. Sandy caught the trophy bass 9lbs, 25 inches. Not bad for summertime bass fishing on world famous Lake Okeechobee and it’s just going to keep getting better as the weather cools down.
I hope to see yea soon, Capt. Mark Shepard
Till next time tight lines and good fishing….
