Peacock bass fishing in south Florida, the peacocks can be caught several different ways. The most conventional is topwater, although rattle traps, hard stickbaits and some plastics work exceptionally well. Live bait is always an option and especially good for running up the numbers. If you’re a fishing enthusiast and you have never experienced the hard fighting peacock bass, we hope this peaks your interest enough to take your first trip. Peacock Bass will test your equipment and skill, it’s exciting and fun.
Onboard Sunday 10/10/10 with Phillip Smith Buckey from Virginia, fishing in Miami for the hard fighting bass. The peacocks are hitting topwater lures in the morning and livebait middle of the day. We had some g explosive action on topwater we caught up to 30 exotic peacocks up to 3 lbs. Thanks guys, it was great day on the water.
Till next time tight lines and good fishing….
